Julie Torres is a Brooklyn-based painter. She exhibits frequently in Bushwick and has enjoyed showings of her work at the New York Center for Art and Media Studies (New York, NY), Index Art Center (Newark, NJ), and a collaborative art-making event that she led at Heiner Contemporary (DC). She recently had her first solo installation, “Close Encounters,” at the Riverside Art Museum in Riverside, CA.
