This is a group show of small works, held in two empty floors of a building in Brooklyn. The works in Handheld reflect what can be seen online, in studios, 2016-sized apartments, and artist-run spaces throughout New York City: many painters are working small again.

A portion of the proceeds will go to Restoration Art in Bedford Stuyvesant.

Special thanks to the owners of the building, Rezwan Sharif, Helen Chee, and Damon Bodine at the SBN team at Compass. Without their thoughtful support, this event would not be possible.
