Bizarre. What do you think of Leslie's work? I think his use of color against black was extremely strong and eye catching in his early work.

Yeah, I'm a big fan of Leslie's earlier abstract work and looked at him a lot when I was in school---not into his later figurative stuff.

Exactly the way I feel. The figurative paintings I can respect for their accuracy and bravado but does not have the same punch as the early work. The early work is vibrant and unexpected. If that makes sense.
