Paul Corvers is a painter based in the Netherlands. I was recently introduced to his work and was struck by his varied and expressive use of gray. The work occupies a considered space between representation and abstraction that continually prompts memory and associations in the viewer. The use of gray is instrumental in the process, bringing a vague uncertianty to bear that allows for a mysterious, open interpretation. To view more work visit the artist's website here .
